H & S Timbers (Pty) Ltd was established in 1969, and has become a household name for many East Rand residents and businessmen.
The company began with a contract to manufacture wooden “dummy strips” for telephone exchanges - and over the ensuing years has gone from strength to strength and has grown into a thriving business which now manufactures a large range of products.
The directors - Bryan Harrington and Anton du Plessis - believe that the stability of the company is largely due to the diversity of the products and services offered. Not only does H & S Timbers produce standard products such as DIY Kitchen Units, Stevenson Screens, Mouldings and PAR Timber - but they also have the flexibility to locate or produce goods manufactured to customers’ specifications. All products manufactured are inspected for compliance with the company’s “12S” Quality Control Check List.
Despite this diversity and the size of the company, H & S Timbers still concentrates on maintaining good old-fashioned personalised customer care and service. Customers can rely on the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff to assist with the planning of their projects and to provide them with excellent service.
