Our joinery shop has been in existence since 1969 so our strength is our experience. No job is too large or too small.Our factory does work in a wide variety of specialities such as carcass building, cabinetmaking, timber processing such as machining, planing, laminating of tops, sanding and wood finishing.

H & S Timbers specialises in all types of timber joinery in both solid timber and particle board providing excellent quality and results. We also offer a finishing service for those who are unable to do this at home.

Customised projects can be manufactured according to customer’s specifications and can be done in various timber species including exotic timbers from Africa and abroad.

Our services and products include the following:

  • Machined Timber – Planed all round, custom mouldings.
  • Laminated Timber – Boards, Tops, Shelving, and Beams.
  • Boards – Cut and edged to customer’s specifications
  • Doors – Fielded panel cupboard and entrance doors in any size and timber type available.
  • Industrial Joinery – Stevenson Screens, Cabinets, Frames, Staircases, and Wooden Components.

All products manufactured are inspected for compliance with the company’s 12 ‘S’ Quality Control Check List

Is it straight?

Has the board been cut squarely?
Has the timber been machined squarely?
Size
Are the sizes correct and within tolerance?
Splits 
Are there any splits in the timber?
Can they be removed by crosscutting?
Can they be glued or filled?
Side 
Is the best side the exposed side?
Shade 
When jointing timber have we matched grain and colour?
Sand 
Has the product been properly sanded?
Spray 
Has the product been spray-painted if required?
If sprayed, are there any dust particles adhering to the surface?
Have sanding marks been removed?
Are there enough coats?
Strapping 
Have the articles been strapped, shrink-wrapped or
packaged?
